I'm Jess Petrie, nature photographer celebrating the beauty of our connection to nature and the wild.

Finding beauty in the ordinary and deepening our connection to the natural world.

Hello, I’m Jess—a nature photographer, forager, and guide to deepening connections with the natural world.
My journey with photography began with an analogue film camera, capturing people’s stories. Over time, my focus shifted to the intricate details of nature—wild plants, seasonal foods, and the beauty of everyday landscapes. Now, my work blends photography with foraging, encouraging others to slow down, observe, and connect with the land.
I offer guided nature photography sessions that intertwine the art of image-making with the practice of foraging. Together, we explore wild food, seasonal plant life, and mindful observation—all while developing photography skills. I’ve also created e-books for budding photographers, sharing insights into botanical photography, and curated a collection of fine art prints inspired by the rhythms of nature.
Based near the Peak District, I spend my days tending to my allotment, exploring the wild, and documenting the ever-changing seasons. Through photography, foraging, and storytelling, I invite you to reconnect with nature in a way that feels both creative and nourishing.
